This new plan is a called a Hybrid PPO dental plan. There is a PPO network. If your dentist is part of the network, you will get the reduced PPO rate for all services. You can use the link to look up and see if your dentist is listed. But, even if your dentist is not in the network, we will still pay you scheduled amounts for your dental work. This is what is known as an indemnity plan.

Savings are typically 40% or more. Most families save enough on routine cleanings and oral exams to cover the cost of the plan. Some plans include free cleanings, x-rays and exams.

There are a lot of dental discount plans on the market. Some will only list dentist of less than sterling reputation. You find their names showing up again and again. Others use national PPO networks and offer you a tremendous choice of dentists.

Some of better plans even provide free cleanings, exams or x-rays. The networks in these better plans are often used by legitimate dental insurance products and are more widely accepted.

The third type of plan is called an indemnity dental plan. This plan pays your dental expenses according to a schedule and pays the money directly to you. You can use any dentist you want. There are no networks to worry about.
